ADAS at Energy Now Expo 2012

REsolved Renewables, part of the ADAS Group, will present its new wind farm screening tool to visitors at the Energy Now Expo on 15th and 16th February 2012.

We will be exhibiting at stand no. 71 and visitors can learn more about the intuitive new tool which has been designed to identify potential sites for wind farms, and gain a better understanding of which sites have a higher chance of passing planning permission at an early stage.

Expert consultants from REsolved Renewables have carried out in excess of 400 in-depth screenings using the tool and have identified around 70 sites from the South coast to the North West which it believes will pass the ten constraints commonly stipulated by planning officers, including the distance of sites in relation to residential areas and conservation zones.

REsolved Renewables offers a zero risk development partnership with farmers for suitable sites whereby it pays for all feasibility and planning costs and installs the turbines. The landowner receives 15 per cent of the revenue from electricity sales and the Feed in Tariff for 20 years. On most sites the revenue is in excess of £30k per year.

Jon Abbatt, Business Development Director at REsolved Renewables, said: “It is very difficult to find suitable areas for wind farm developments and traditionally getting through planning can be a challenge. We hope that the development of our new screening process will increase the number of approved planning applications".

Wind farms have an important role to play in the UK’s renewable energy plan and this tool will help the selection process for more feasible sites much faster.
