Recently, obtaining planning consent has become more difficult due to the fact that planners are required by regulation to request more detailed environmental information.
When making an application to build a new site or significantly increase the size of an existing one, regulations require that information is supplied in the form of an environmental statement. It includes details on aspects such as odour, ammonia, landscape waste, traffic, ecology, etc. Applications will not succeed if this information is not supplied correctly.
When considering applying for planning consent for poultry or other developments it is deemed essential to obtain good advice. It not only saves money, but offers a greatly improved chance of success and often a quicker turnaround on decision making. Those with experience and knowledge are a great resource and have the ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
Ray Williams has been completing planning applications and associated environmental reports for more than 15 years.
He and his colleagues are currently completing planning applications for 15 poultry sites and various other applications for waste recycling sites and anaerobic digestion plants.
Ray said: “I’m very proud of the fact that I’ve won the vast majority of applications made, even though almost all of them have had a significant number of objections.”
The team is on hand to advise on all types of planning applications, but have specialist knowledge of wind farms, development of waste recycling, anaerobic digestion and residential developments.
