ADAS Sheep Workshops

ADAS invites you to a FREE sheep workshop aimed at optimising health and improving management of ewes on commercial farms.

There will be 4 Free workshops taking place over the course of the next week. The events will be run by Nerys Wright, ADAS Livestock Consultant.

Subjects covered will include:

• Lameness - diagnosis, cause, prevention and control
• Management of ewes in late pregnancy - This will include:
1. Feeding ewes and general nutrition
2. Handling and good management in the run up to lambing to maximise lamb survival and flock welfare

The morning session will be held in a local venue followed by lunch. The afternoon session will comprise of a farm walk.

Meetings will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and lunch will be provided. Please bring footwear that can be disinfected and warm clothing for the farm walk.
